Under what circumstances should I pursue a custom project?

We always recommend sending introductions to specific projects to increase your chances of finding an organization who has a business need that aligns with your skills and interests.

However, it makes sense to send an introduction directly to an organization to discuss a custom project when:
  1. You have a strong personal connection to the organization's mission or business model
  1. You have deep expertise in the organization's market or industry

Tip: Because custom projects aren’t scoped ahead of time, be sure to iIndicate in your introduction message exactly why you think your skills could help the organization advance its mission!

If you can’t find a project that aligns with your skills and interests, please contact match@movingworlds.org and we’ll be happy to support you.
